U.S. Representative Andy Ogles (R-TN-05) picked up notable endorsements in his reelection bid for Tennessee’s 5th Congressional District.
In addition to former President Donald Trump, among those endorsing Ogles include House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH-04) and U.S. Senators Mike Lee (R-UT) and Ted Cruz (R-TX).

“Andy Ogles has remained unwavering in the fight for our nation in the House. He has done an excellent job representing the people of Tennessee’s 5th Congressional District and has been a steadfast leader against the radically woke agenda sweeping across our nation,” Cruz said in a statement. “I have had the pleasure of working with Andy already this Congress and look forward to continuing to work together. I am proud to endorse him for re-election.”
Lee noted Ogles’ fight for “individual liberty,” particularly during his former role as mayor during the COVID-19 pandemic, in his endorsement of the Tennessee congressman.
“Andy Ogles has been fighting for individual liberty for decades across Tennessee,” Lee said. “When serving as the Mayor of Maury County, he courageously guarded his community against tyrannical government overreach during the COVID pandemic. Since arriving in Congress, Andy has held nothing back in the fight for freedom. I’ve already had the chance to work on joint legislation with him and have been impressed by his thoughtfulness and focus on his district. Andy Ogles is a true conservative voice in Washington, and he has my full endorsement for re-election.”
Last month, Ogles was among the top Republican members of the House recognized for his conservative voting record by both the Republican Liberty Caucus and Republicans for National Review.
The incumbent congressman has served as the U.S. Representative for Tennessee’s 5th Congressional District since January 2023 and is a member of the House Freedom Caucus.
Before his election to Congress, Ogles served as the mayor of Maury County, Tennessee, from 2018 until 2022.
Ogles is facing Geoffrey Stokes Nielson in the August 1 Republican primary.

Lee is from Utah, Cruz is from Texas. I live in the 5th District, and they can keep their opinions to themselves.
